Reverse transliteration is supported too: you can paste Shavian text into this panel too. The reverse engine is brand new, so it doesn't yet quite know as many tricks as the forward one.

E-books

You can also transliterate e-books with this tool. EPUB is the only format currently supported. You can be as detailed or as loose in your corrections as you like; I personally find that just exporting the book without any corrections gives pretty reasonable results, but spending that extra bit of time to get everything squared a way at a confidence level of 80% or higher can really be worth the effort.

Credits and such

Shave was inspired by Dave Coffin's excellent transliterator. It was built on top of an extended version of the Readlex dictionary. Thanks to Brandon for his encouragement to push on with this project.
